The Million Real Estate Pixels FAQ
What is pixel advertising?Pixel advertising is one of the hottest types of online advertising right now. You simply upload the image you want to display and tell us what site you want us to link the image to. If you don’t have an image, you may choose one of ours. On this site, pixels are available in 100 pixel blocks each measuring 10 pixels high by 10 pixels wide. The main page is divided into 10,000 of these 100 pixel blocks equaling a total of 1,000,000 pixels.
What is the minimum purchase? The minimum purchase is a 10 by 10 pixel block for a total of 100 pixels. I sell our pixels at $0.1 per pixel so the minimum purchase would be $1.
Do you have a maximum purchase? You can buy as many pixels as you like as long as they’re available. When you buy pixels, you can then display an image, advertisement, or logo of your choice in the space you purchased. You can also have the image click through to your website. No obscene or offensive images will be allowed.
Who can buy pixels? The short answer is anybody. However, the site you’re advertising must be related to Real Estate. Realtors, Home Improvement, Home Construction, Home and Garden, and Lending websites are also welcome. If you don’t know whether your site is appropriate, feel free to contact me anytime.
How long will my ad stay on this site?Your pixels will be displayed on this site for at least 5 years (January 8, 2011), but hopefully much longer.
Why should I buy pixels? For $1, you can have a one way link to your website for 5 years. That works out to $0.20 per year. Should this site become popular, your ad could be seen by tens of thousands of people over the next few years.
Why can’t I buy just one pixel? While it would probably be cool to sell single pixels, you can’t really display anything meaningful on a single pixel. Visually, it just wouldn’t work because I think thousands of random dots on a page would end up looking like a big gray mess.
Who are you?My name is Sanford Rosser and I’m a Realtor in the metro Atlanta, Georgia area. You can Google my name and find my business website.
What will you do with the money?I’m guessing I’ll give about half of it to the government in the form of taxes…ugh. The rest will go toward paying for my two boys to go to college in a few years.
